Civil court transcripts

Since June 2017 we have been appointed by the Ministry of Justice to transcribe High Court and County Court hearings in England and Wales. We will gladly chase the court for the audio on your behalf if it is not provided within a reasonable time. Once the audio arrives, we prepare your estimate. On written approval and prepayment, we begin transcribing.

All civil judgments must be approved by the judge before we can release them. The time the judge takes to review is not counted within your delivery window. We aim to release the approved version on the day we receive it back from the court.

Civil proceedings and judgments start from £0.83 per folio, an estimated £99.60 per hour plus VAT, for our standard 12 working day service. A folio is 72 words.

Crown court transcripts

We are authorised to transcribe Crown Court proceedings in London. We charge per folio, which is every 72 words transcribed, and the rate depends on how quickly you need the document. Our standard service is 7 working days. We will provide a quotation detailing the charge before we begin.

Tell us which part of the transcript you need, for example the full case, the sentencing, the summing up to verdict, or the evidence of a specific witness. The more precisely you describe it, the more accurate your quote.
